Partial Gallery Call for Artists

Partial Gallery and OCAD University are excited to announce the return of our partnership which provides an exceptional career opportunity for OCAD U student artists and recent alumni (2020). 40 selected artists will be given complimentary 1 year Pro Accounts on Partial and inclusion as featured artists within the OCAD University Artist Showcase on Partial’s online platform in order to showcase their works, and administrate artwork sales and rentals.

Shift Health Art Commissioning Program 

OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers and Shift Health have partnered to co-create the Shift Health Art Commissioning Program. The Shift Health Art Commissioning Program will commission five (5) emerging artists, representing different artistic practices, providing a diversity of artistic voices and approaches  to create works of art for Shift Health’s new downtown space renovation.

Urban Indigenous Education Centre

Urban Indigenous Education Centre in partnership with the OCAD U Indigenous Student Centre (ISC) and the RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers  invite applications from artists and designers for the Urban Indigenous Education Centre Career Launcher, an opportunity for OCAD U students and recent grads to join the Toronto District School Board’s Educational Partnerships Program.

Black History Month Digital Exhibition Curator 

The Public and the RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers are excited to announce The Public Gallery Window Exhibition Career Launcher, providing an exhibition opportunity for one (1) exhibition proposal from a recent OCAD U grad. Artists are invited to submit site responsive proposals to be shown from mid-January till the end of February, 2022.

401 Richmond: Illustration Studio 2021

Students are invited to apply for this opportunity and four (4) successful applicants will be awarded one year of free studio space in 401 Richmond in from June 2021 to May 2022. This is an incredible opportunity to become part of a larger creative community and connect with like-minded creative practitioners. Applications will be reviewed by ILLU Faculty members during GradEx 106.

Open Studio, Studio and Education Assistant

OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is excited to announce a recruited placement in partnership with Open Studio for the role of Scotiabank Studio and Education Assistant. The Scotiabank Studio and Education Assistant will  assist with education programs, including ordering and preparing materials, and liaising with instructors. This opportunity was open to current OCAD U students in any discipline in their final year at the undergraduate level and any year at the Master’s level

/edition Art Book Fair Career Launcher

/edition Art Book Fair and the Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers are excited to announce the OCAD U Career Launcher at the /edition Art Book Fair 2021 from October 29 to 31, 2021. Emerging bookmakers, photographers, publishers, printmakers, artist’s multiple-makers and ephemera-enthusiasts are invited to submit an application for a free half-booth where you can sell editioned prints, books, or other artworks to a growing audience of artists, curators, collectors, and book-lovers.

OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers was excited to announce a call for artists in partnership with Slate Asset Management. Slate Asset Management was seeking proposals for a rotating public art exhibit that would animate the lobby of 2St. Clair West in the Yonge St. + St. Clair Avenue West community. This opportunity was open to Drawing & Painting students graduating in 2021.

OCAD University’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers was excited to announce a recruited placement in partnership with Impact Hub Ottawa for the role of Scotiabank Creative Strategist. 2021 Parks Canada, Creative Content Specialist

The RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) was excited to announce the return of the Parks Canada Career Launcher for technically savvy students with photography and videography skills. Students, that were returning to school in Fall 2021 were invited to apply for this opportunity. The successful applicant is employed at Rouge Park - Canada’s first national urban park! This opportunity was open to current students who were returning to school in Fall 2021.

2021 Career Launcher Fund

The RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) is excited to announce the return of the Career Launcher Fund for Undergraduate and Master's students graduating in 2021. Apply for up to $350. This fund supports activities relating to professional practice and skills development as you transition out of school to begin your career. Eligible activities should fall in one of the 4 pillars below:

Working with and reporting to the Artistic Director, the Scotiabank Programs Assistant supports the planning, administration, and execution of DesignTO Festival programming, including exhibitions, events, outreach, and special initiatives. NEO Exchange: Call for Artists

OCAD University’s Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers and NEO Exchange, Canada’s next-generation stock exchange, have partnered to co-create the NEO Commissioning Program. Five (5) emerging artists from OCAD U, working in a variety of mediums, will be commissioned to provide works of art to commemorate the listing of a corporate client or the launch of a new fund on the NEO stock exchange.

Toronto Outdoor Art Fair

The RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers was excited to announce the return of our partnership with Canada’s leading juried outdoor art fair. The Toronto Outdoor Art Fair Career Launcher award is for students in the Illustration, Material Art & Design, Photography and Printmaking/Publications programs. The selected students had a free showcase opportunity at the special hybrid online/outdoor 60th Anniversary Fair.
