Ossington Public Exhibition

Hullmark Developments and the Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers are excited to announce the Ossington Public Exhibition Career Launcher for senior students and recent graduates from the Faculty of Art.The exhibition will open in April 2019 at 12 Ossington St. Toronto. The selected proposal will be mounted in a boutique-like space with large window opening out to the busy Ossington street.

Programming Development Assistant

Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art is seeking a part-time employee for the position of Programming Development Assistant. The Assistant will be responsible for two key aspects of the organization’s activities. The first area consists of conducting a review of Prefix’s programming history in order to contribute to preparations for the gallery’s twentieth anniversary. The second involves assisting with the research, development and realization of Prefix’s upcoming exhibitions and public programming.

Curatorial Assistant

The Toronto Biennial of Art (TBA) is accepting applications for a full-time position of Curatorial Assistant on the Public Programming and Learning team. An ideal candidate must have a view to inclusivity and diversity, building capacity and changing the landscape of future Canadian leaders in arts, education and culture. The Curatorial Assistant will gain significant, hands-on curatorial, programming and production experience through numerous training and learning opportunities with the Curator, Public Programming and Learning, as well as with the broader TBA team; and cross-departmental exposure to all aspects of the biennial, including logistics, production, publications, finance, communication, partnerships, and fundraising.

Nuit Rose 2019

NUIT ROSE is now accepting submissions from OCADU emerging artists, performers, writers, curators, and collectives interested in presenting work and projects for NUIT ROSE EMERGING ARTIST SECTION at the sixth edition of the festival, which will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2019.

Healthcare Humans Factor

Healthcare Human Factors and The Centre for Emerging Artists and Designers are excited to announce the second Healthcare Human Factors Career Launcher. Graduating students and recent graduates are invited to apply for this paid internship, and one successful applicant will work with the team of human factors professionals, designers, engineers, psychologists, and researchers, uniquely integrated into healthcare.

Toronto Outdoor Art Fair

The Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is excited to announce the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair Career Launcher award for students in the Illustration and Material Art & Design programs. Eligible students will have the opportunity to exhibit in the 58th year of this annual event; Canada's largest and longest-running juried contemporary outdoor art fair. TOAF was established to nurture artistic excellence and an entrepreneurial spirit, and to showcase contemporary work to the general public. This free public event showcases works by over 350 exhibitors and attracts 115,000 visitors each year to Nathan Phillips Square.

Illustration Studio Career Launcher

The Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is excited to bring back the Illustration Studio Career Launcher for students in their graduating year. Students are invited to apply for this opportunity and four (4) successful applicants will be awarded one year of free studio space in 401 Richmond in from June 2019 to May 2020.

Nuit Blanche 2019 Independent Projects

Nuit Blanche Toronto and the Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers are inviting recent and upcoming OCAD U graduates from classes of 2017, 2018, and 2019 to apply to Nuit Blanche 2019 Independent Projects Program. One selected Independent Project by OCADU graduates will be awarded with a Career Launcher support valued at $1,500.

Career Launcher Fund

The Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) is excited to announce the return of the Career Launcher Fund for students graduating in 2019.This fund supports activities relating to your early career success as you transition out of school. Eligible activities could range from participating in GradEx 104, attending residencies and workshops, or presenting your work outside of school.

Museum Services & Communications Associate

Textile Museum of Canada and the Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers are seeking applications for the Museum Services & Communications Associate. The Associate will work directly with staff to enhance the Museum experience for our visitors and will support the Communication department in executing the Museum’s communication and marketing program; communicating the vision, mission and programming of the TMC to targeted diverse audiences.

Photographer in Residence

The Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is excited to announce the return of the Parks Canada Career Launcher for Photography students. Students are invited to apply for this opportunity and a successful applicant will be employed at Rouge Park - Canada’s first national urban park. The recipient will split their time between the office and the filed; processing images in the Rouge National Urban Park photo library, shooting imagery and doing graphic design. Successful applicant will also receive a $500 equipment grant from the CEAD.

Artist Project 2019

We're excited to announce the return of the @artistprojectto Artist Project Toronto Career Launcher for an upper year student or recent graduate of the Integrated Media or Sculpture/Installation programs! Students and recent alumni are invited to apply for this paid opportunity which provides a professional venue and large public audience for their work.The successful applicant will participate in the 12th annual Artist Project Contemporary Art Fair. The recipient will also receive a $2,000 production grant towards the realization of this outstanding opportunity.
