OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION
Partial and OCAD U’s RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers are excited to announce the return of our partnership which provides an exceptional career opportunity for OCAD U student artists and recent alumni (2023 + 2024). Thirty (30) selected artists will be given complimentary 2 year Pro Accounts ($240 value) on Partial and permanent inclusion as featured artists within the OCAD University Artist Showcase on Partial to display their works, and administrate artwork sales and rentals.
Partial is an art marketplace and platform for artists and art-seekers to connect and engage in real and accessible transactions. Partial began with a simple goal: To bring more original Canadian art onto more walls – directly from the artists that made it. Artists on Partial’s OCAD U Artist Showcase have made more than $135K in rentals and sales on the platform and received various exhibition and speaking opportunities. This is an amazing opportunity to get your work out there, nurture an audience, and sell your work!
As of year five of this partnership the OCAD U Artist Showcase has had:
- 6 million combined impressions
- 537 total sessions
- 252 purchase requests/124 rental requests
- 81 artists who received at least one purchase/rental request.
- About two-thirds of OCADU Showcase artists received a purchase/rental request

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Full contact information (Name, phone, portfolio, and email)
and current CV - Online or PDF portfolio. Please highlight 5 sample works that you would want to see on the platform. Include artist name, title, year, medium, size details
Tip: Jurists evaluate submissions based on artworks that are organized in cohesive collections or series that convey the artists’ unique voice. - A brief artist biography (250 words max)
- A brief statement of intent outlining your interest in this opportunity
(500 words max) - A brief description of what are you hoping to sell? (original paintings, drawings, limited editioned prints or photos, works on paper, etc).
* Please note: Partial Gallery is a marketplace and platform for Fine Art; as such, posters, stickers, T-shirts, studies, etc. are not suitable to the mandate of the platform.

As the holiday gift-giving season approaches it’s the perfect time to boost your art sales. Mix and mingle with arts community members on Partial’s platform, share tips for selling artwork, hear about the art buyer’s journey, and come away with a clearer sense of how to boost your profile during the sales season.
The event starts with Q&A with Esther DOË Kim, an OCAD U Showcase Artist successfully using Partial to generate sales and rentals, and Regina Sheung, a Toronto-based art collector and retail visionary. Stick around after to connect with the speakers, fellow attendees, and OCAD U peers. Light refreshments will be served.

APPLICATION SUPPORT
The OCAD U RBC CEAD is committed to promoting substantive equality for equity-seeking groups that are under-represented in the creative sector.
