Arts Etobicoke
Project Coordinator

Details

RECIPIENT

My name is Mehnaz Lamia (Mia) and I am an international student from Bangladesh. I am a recent graduate of the Creative Writing program at OCAD University and have an avid passion for poetry and storytelling. As a poet, I work with languages which highlights my lived experiences but also opens up the dialogue for others to share about theirs in a safe space. My work revolves around healing, amplifying our collective voices and inclusion of narratives that are often erased by colonization. I believe that our collective voices have such an impact and together we can make vast social and structural changes.
