The Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is excited to announce the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair Career Launcher award for students in the Illustration and Material Art & Design programs. Eligible students will have the opportunity to exhibit in the 58th year of this annual event; Canada's largest and longest running juried contemporary outdoor art fair. The TOAF was established to nurture excellence and an entrepreneurial spirit, and to showcase contemporary work to the general public. This free public event showcases works by over 360 exhibitors and attracts 115,000 visitors each year at Toronto's Nathan Phillips Square.

Congratulations to Eugenia Chan (Material Art & Design 2018') and Elise Conlin (Illustration 2019') who were presented with awards at the TOAF. Eugenia received the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery's Emerging Artist Award. Elise received the 2019 Student Purchase Award, judged by House of IDEA.

Toronto Outdoor Art Fair is Canada’s largest, longest running juried contemporary outdoor art fair. Founded in 1961, Toronto Outdoor Art Fair was established to put contemporary visual artists and makers at the front and centre of their works, and to nurture artistic excellence and artists’ entrepreneurial spirit. This free public event showcases works by over 350 contemporary visual artists and makers, ranging in medium from painting, photography, and mixed media, to jewellery and ceramics, and attracts 115,000 visitors each year to Nathan Phillips Square. Toronto Outdoor Art Fair is a charitable non-for-profit organization (#119259620 RR0001).
