Gallery Assistant (Curatorial/ Design)

Rowan Lynch​ is a curator and artist ​from Hamilton, ON, currently based in Toronto​. They are the recipient of OCAD University’s 2018 medal in Criticism and Curatorial Studies, and
have ​produced independent curatorial projects within OCADU galleries, the Hamilton Audio Visual Node (HAVN), and Xpace Cultural Centre.​ They are interested in people, light, and combinations of pictorial and linguistic information.

OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION

Critical Distance Centre for Curators is excited to welcome Rowan Lynch to the team as the Gallery Assistant (Curatorial/ Design). In this position Rowan will work with the Director and fellow team members at Critical Distance, the Gallery Assistant (Curatorial/Design) supports and contributes to the research, development, management, execution, promotion, and documentation of CDCC exhibitions, events, and initiatives; development and implementation of strategic communications and outreach initiatives; and provides design and production support for print/digital materials relating to our exhibitions, publications, website, social media pages, newsletters, and graphic identity.


The position is supported by the Career Launchers program from OCAD University's Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers.
