Alana Ratcliff-Lake was chosen for the role because of her passion for design, her awareness of current trends, and her eagerness to try new things. Alana has brought an energy and enthusiasm to each project, team brainstorms and creative presentations – always looking for ways improve the product and herself. This has been a working, paid internship where Alana has done real work, helping to improve the lives of patients across Canada and the work of physicians.
“I started at OCADU in the Drawing & Painting program before switching to Advertising which really combined my love of art and design. It also fostered my curiosity about the world and what drives people to think and do what they do. During my summer at FCB Health, I drew upon my brainstorming and ideating skills as well as my layout, and typography skills. I’m definitely a hands-on team member, no coffee runs (unless they’re for myself!). Pharma is a unique and intellectually challenging field and I feel like it’s a great fit for anyone looking to change lives for the better through advertising.”

FCB Health pushes the boundaries of healthcare advertising and develops outstanding, award-winning work. The 2018 FCB Health Art Director Internship provided a graduate of OCAD U’s Advertising program an opportunity to work on both new and established products, and to collaborate with a highly skilled cross-functional team.
