OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION

The Toronto Tool Library Makerspace is a place to learn, access resources and workspace, and grow as a creator. TTL provides an outstanding shop, online resources, and a rich community of creators who are invested in supporting emerging creatives and makers.

The Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers is excited to announce the inaugural TTL Makerspace Membership Career Launcher for students in their graduating term. Two (2) successful applicants will be awarded a Membership with TTL Makerspace for four months ($308 value) and $400 in credits towards materials and equipment rental. TTL Makerspace includes a wood shop, CNC router, production studio, tool library and more. Some of TTL courses teach skills in the use of traditional tools, like the Wood shop Certification, 8-week Woodworking, Lathe Workshop, and more. Other courses provide training in modern computer-based fabrication techniques like the CNC Mill, Laser Cutter, and 3D printers. A complimentary spot in two upcoming TTL Makerspace classes/certifications will also be given to each recipient. This is an amazing opportunity to become part of a larger creative community and gain access to the excellent multidisciplinary facilities that TTL has to offer.

This collaboration is dedicated to the memory of Lamin Martin, OCAD graduate, talented artist, and tireless champion for living a full creative life. He was always there for people starting their journey. —Toronto Tool Library
